It’s been a crazy past few months with little time to share something so near and dear to my heart. With the holidays approaching, seems like the perfect time. This past summer I traveled with my boyfriend to Medellín, Colombia with The Aurelius for the Arts Foundation it was a life changing experience. We were in Medellín for 3 weeks where we spent time in 4 different orphanages. The first week we had a crew of volunteers and we visited Hogares Infantiles San José. It is the home and school to 330 girls, ages 5-18. Aurelius for the Arts was established to share the joy of creativity with children across the globe. The mission is developing and teaching intensive art workshops in overseas orphanages, as well as establishing sustainable art programs. I will be posting photos from the other three orphanages before the new year. I always approach this time of year with gratitude. I give many thanks for this amazing opportunity that I was given.
